About Our Parish
The St. George Parish was founded by Greeks, Semendrians, and other Christians from Asia Minor. Our first parish was built on Hill Street in Pontiac in 1928; our second parish was built on Mariva Street in Pontiac in 1931; and our current location was built in Bloomfield Hills in 1966.
Since its inception, the St. George Parish has had a steadfast commitment to The Way (as Christianity was called by its earliest disciples). We strive to be more effective witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as expressed in the apostolic tradition and worship of the Holy Orthodox Church. We invite you to participate in this witness by joining the worship and fellowship of Christ's Church in Bloomfield Hills.
