About Our Parish
St. George's Parish was founded by Greeks, Semendrians, and other Greeks from Asia Minor. Our first church was built on Hill St. in Pontiac in 1928, our second church was built on Mariva St. in Pontiac in 1931, and our current location was built in Bloomfield Hills in 1966.
Since its inception St. George's Parish has had a steadfast commitment to our faith. We continue to strive to bear more effective witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as expressed in the apostolic tradition and worship of our Holy Orthodox Church. We invite you to also participate in this witness by joining the worship and fellowship of Christ's Orthodox Church in Bloomfield Hills.
