Rev. Dr. James E. Honeycutt, Presiding Priest
Under the authority of the Most Reverend Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit, Father James has served the Saint George Church in Bloomfield Hills since July 2017. Prior to ordination, he worked full-time in the field of mental health after receiving a master's degree in clinical social work from the University of Tennessee. His theological training includes a master's degree from Holy Cross Orthodox School of Theology, a doctorate from Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, post-graduate work in clinical chaplaincy at Harvard Divinity School, and a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from the Brigham and Women's Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His wife, Presbytera Juliana, is a licensed professional counselor in private practice.
Office hours for Father James are Tuesdays through Fridays from 1:00-5:00 PM. He is typically away from the parish on Mondays but will try to return calls within 48 hours.
